"I lost sense and confidence in painting that reproduced objects and people. The consequence was that I started to search for tangible materials, leave the studio and connect with people of everyday. I did not search for extraordinary objects. I wanted to share memories and experiences from our consumptions of the materials. The invisible, the body archaeologies, the worn and unusual object is for art a gift showing all the values in itself. The object is between eternity and garbage. Without the people around you there are no stories to share, no legacies and inspiration to pass over. A mental archaeology triggering memory between tradition and modernity."
